Troy Kulasekere is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) under the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) under the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)

  • Expert in strength training instruction and technique

  • Experience training alongside professional combative athletes (over 10 years)

  • Experience as an assistant strength coach for bantam, semi-professional and professional hockey athletes

  • 12 years of weight training and dry land conditioning (sleds, shuttles etc.) experience

  • 8 years as a personal training consultant

  • 8 years in Muay Thai/Kickboxing/Boxing competition

  • 7 years of experience practicing strength, power and speed training (Powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting and Plyometrics)

  • 5 years in coaching and conditioning for Muay Thai/Kickboxing/Boxing for all ages and skill levels

  • Coaching Styles – By working with some of Canada’s best athletes, strength coaches, fitness leaders and through trial and error Troy’s coaching style was perfected


  • Fitness Styles – Exposure to different types of fitness training has allowed Troy to identify what motivates individuals and how he can help break plateaus through the use of innovative and unique training methodologies


  • Strength Training Styles – The most effective strength training, is the straight forward and practical approach with attention to detail


  • Teaching Style – Exposure to a strict form of teaching from an early age as Troy’s mother was an accomplished piano teacher, therefore, precise instruction is his forte (no pun intended)


  • Discipline – Those who are most successful in their sport  are those who have the ability to sacrifice temporary highs for the pursuit of permanent euphoria

The CSCS certification is considered to be the "Gold Standard" for strength and conditioning. Many certification holders and members of the NSCA work within high level organizations such as the NBA, NHL, MLB  and others​.
